FROM THE WEB EDITOR...

I hope everyone is enjoying the new look website. It has been very flattering to walk around the pits and be stopped and complimented on how it is looking.

And it was a huge compliment at the Lismore round in July to have a film crew from WIN-TV come out to cover the races as a result of seeing the website!

Click on the link below to see the coverage...!!!
(or right click and download)

Win TV News segment (MP4) (2Mb)

(If above does not play - try this one)
 Win/avi version (3Mb)

Finally, please remember that the site will be only as good as the content - and there is more out there than I can possibly fill. So please, email me or grab me at the races with content to put on the site (or in the newsletter).

See you at the track.

The photo just above to the right is a guest photo - it is of Rupert Morgan from the scrambles scene in England. This may be one of the prettiest BSAs you will see racing (certainly one of the shiniest!). Rupert will be sending more photos of their race meetings - they have 10 tracks all 1 hour away from each other!

(Click on the image for a new window showing a larger, clearer photo of Rupert in action!)

CCM BACK IN THE GPs

Sean Hamilton thought that club members would like to know that CCM are getting back into Grand Prix Racing again! They have enlisted three times World 500 Champ Dave Thorpe as team manager and a good young rider in Tom Church. Tom finished fourth in the 2008 British Title and has gone top 10 in both MX1 and MX2 GPs.

They have a good website at www.ccmmotorcyclesuk.com which has links to their racing team.

2008 AGM REVIEW

A good turnup of members for the 2008 Annual General Meeting resulted in a familiar looking Committee and some exciting plans for the Club for 2009. These plans will be revealed as they become available.

Thanks to all who turned up and provided input into the future of the club.

SCRUTINEERS WILL BE CRACKING DOWN ON CLASS LETTERS ON NUMBER PLATES

There are some machines STILL running without class letters. These are to be run to ensure that bikes are not running in classes they should not be in.

Identification letters per class are:

Pre 60 - A
Pre 65 - N
Pre 68 - F
Pre 70 - H
Pre 75 - X

Letters are to be 50mm and upper case (capitals) and are to be the same colour as the race numbers. Letters are required on all 3 number plates.

Please make sure they are on for all meetings. They will be checked at scrutineering. No class letter = no racing = no points. (There's no excuse - the club have the letters available for $5.00 per set of 3 at the sign-in area)
