The photo to the right is a guest photo - it is of Rupert Morgan from the scrambles scene in England. This may be one of the prettiest BSAs you will see racing (certainly one of the shiniest!). Rupert will be sending more photos of their race meetings - they have 10 tracks all 1 hour away from each other!

(Click on the image for a new window showing a larger, clearer photo of Rupert in action!)

THE CLUB MOTTO

Our new Secretary has done some investigation on the literal meaning of the club motto.

His esteemed Latin scholar (daughter Nicola) explains:

'Maximi facio antiquium gloria".

"The translations are numerous because all those words are bland in latin with five or six definitions each. I'm presuming this is in the context of bikes though, so I'd say 'I make (or do) old/ancient things of great glory'. I hope this makes sense. Although 'facio' is pronounced 'fuckio', every latin student's favourite verb."

(Secretary's Note: "Hmm, maybe we f--- up old things?")

MORE CONTENT FOR THE NEWSLETTER

Mention was made again at the AGM that, whilst Eric has been doing a wonderful job as the Editor-In-Charge of the newsletter, he needs content from the members to continue to get it out!

Eric can only add so much to the newlsetter - without input provided by the members. If you have anything at all that you could supply - photos (especially of the days past), old programmes, or other items that could be included in the newsletter - please email Eric at salmeric@gmail.com

Look for the new issue before the next round!
