Steve McQueen Metisse
Experience for yourself the Steve McQueen Desert Racer Rickman Métisse

Métisse Motorcycle’s are proud to announce the next exciting development in a product range spanning its forty eight year history. It is a replica of one of Hollywood’s iconic legend’s own bikes, the ‘Rickman-Métisse Desert Racer’ as originally designed and built by Steve McQueen for serious competition use, now faithfully reproduced and available to order now.

It is authentically hand built by Métisse Motorcycle’s in the UK, and is fully endorsed by Steve McQueen’s family, and features his signature on each one of these exact replicas.

A limited number of 300 will be built, complete with official certificate of authenticity from the firm that made it possible all those years ago. These bikes are identical to the one that McQueen built and rode and are the only way to experience a bike designed and built by a great rider as well as a movie legend. These bikes come from the same stable as the original!

Classic Scrambles Club Inc - NZ
The Classic Scramble Club, based in Auckland New Zealand, can trace its history back to 1989, when 14 riders got together and decided that there were no real opportunities for the older bikes to be raced, and that they should do something about it.
The club now exists to "...promote the enjoyment and history of riding vintage motocross bikes, and to promote a relaxed, informal and social atmosphere at events."

Pre65 Motocross Club - England
The Pre-65 Motocross Club is the UK's premier motocross club for running and organizing classic scrambles in the UK. Their website contains over 2000 classic scrambles photos of both current day classic racing and classic scrambling from the 1960s.

AHRMA - USA
The American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association is the organizing body for vintage racing in the USA. A member-owned nonprofit organization it is dedicated to enhancing the sport of historic motorcycle racing for the enjoyment of riders and spectators. AHRMA is a chartered promoter of the American Motorcyclist Association and conducts amateur activities.

OZVMX

VMX magazine

Classic Dirt Bike magazine (UK)
Classic Dirt Bike, published quarterly, is a UK magazine is about the bikes and the personalities of the sport, covering pre-65 machines, classic and twin shocks, trials as well as scrambling/motocross and enduros. There are reader rebuilds from the UK/Europe and North America, event coverage, personality interviews/profiles, letters, products and so much more.

RacerX Illustrated magazine
RacerX Illustrated is a modern MX and SX magazine but every month's issue pays tribute to the history of the sport. MXworksbike.com
An online museum dedicated to the Works bike. The focus of this site is primarily the factory efforts in professional Motocross from the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. Terry Good has a brilliant collection of ex-works bikes and his site will keep you wide-eyed for hours on end. One of Terry’s bikes is also featured in VMX Magazine in each issue.

The Motorbike Archives
Old magazines, bike tests, competition reports, interviews with the heroes of the day. And some brilliant video in the archives of scrambling in the 50s and 60 through to GPs in the 80s. Subscriber based but a great site to lose a couple of hours. (sample video).

Vintage Factory
The Vintage Factory specializes in first class restorations, building vintage Honda motocross racers. Scott Steger (founder & creator of Red Racer) has been building vintage racers since the early 90's, with a background in the motorcycle Industry, and MX racing that stretches back to the early 70's, when they were modern!

Rick ‘Super Hunky’ Sieman is the original ‘Dirt Bike’ editor and brought integrity and entertainment to the magazine world like no other. Rick has some great items to buy on his site as well as providing you with some fantastic memories of the old days.
